Missa “s’e la face ay pale” by guillame dufay

Guillame Dufays’ Missa “S’e la face ay pale” is is considered to be a hallmark  in the history of Western Music.  Publishing the Missa for a flute consort broadens the literature available to flute ensembles, introduces flute players to the aesthetics of an earlier era, and presents players with tuning, blending, balancing, and timbral challenges.  The Mass can be performed in its entirety or in separate parts, and it can be performed by any family or group of “like” instruments.

You can hear the Christe from the mass as a “midi-realized” sound file.
